Athletics day ( Personal best )

Athletics day ( Personal best ) 

Athletics day is an annual school Event which happens every year. It consists of different types of sports like discus, shot put high jump, sprints and a whole lot more sports. Not only did we go and play different sports and have fun. Athletics is a super fun day for Pt England especially for the seniors.

Part of having fun and playing different sports we had also made a promise to our self to try to beat our personal best. Personal best means achieving something you have already achieved in sports or anything you have done and you are trying to do your best at the sport to beat your previous scores.

Athletics day was last week on Friday and it was my last one for this School. It was a super fun day. In the morning around 9:15 am everybody got ready and moved to the court from there we talked about athletics and we did our prayer. Finally we got in our groups just like last year year 8 boys were together, and year 8 girls were together and the other year levels were the same.

Some of my favourite activates were discus, high jump, volleyball, javelin and sprints. I was unlucky to come first second or third in any of the events. I really just wanted to have fun with the boys. My favourite event would have to be the discus because not only it was challenging it was also a good way to improve my throws. It was an amazing day.

This was my last Athletics for Point England School. Thank you to all the staff for making Athletics possible it was amazing.

Launch your Success

 This morning was a very special day. The annual speaker Andrew Patterson came to our team 5 and he had talked about different types of things to do with our future. 2 of the main points i liked was The Formula of Success. Try figure this equation out A + I =M
Done. Good job it means Aspiration + Inspiration = Motivation 
Aspiration means what aspires you to do what you do. Inspiration means What inspires you or who inspires you to do things and finally put it together Motivation is what motivates you to get up and work. Quote : if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life - Marc Anthony and A.I.M Means AIM for success. the second thing I found interesting was be a giver, giver means being generous and not being greedy. And taker means Greedy and does not care about others thank you andrew for coming to talk it was really beneficial.

A good Role model

What it means to be a good role model.

T	Title - What you will be explaining

C	Conclusion - Final summarising statement, an evaluation or comment about what you have explained.

Title	Being A role model
Introduction	Being A role model especially if you are a leader of  a school. Like if you are a perfect or any other leader. Because if you are a leader everybody would look up to you and they will become An idol that they will admire for many years to come.  Some of the things role models would do are , Help, Be Mature and respectful.
Information 1st idea	Helping someone with homework or school work will instantly tell them that you are a helpful role model and they would always want to be by your side. An Example would be Helping with chores Helping teachers and also your classmates. Helping anyone with anything can Really just tell how helpful you are.
Information 2nd idea	Part of being a role model is also to have a good attitude. It is part of being Mature. Being Mature means fully developed physically and full grown. Another example would be having reached the most advanced stage in process. Mature means basically being a good boy not wagging any classes. And being A role Model is a great way to show what Maturity is.
Information 3rd idea	Respect, Everyone needs it if it is not in their life they will never be successful in their life. Respectful means showing or feeling respect. A good role model will have to be respectful in every way possible, From respecting each other to helping can show a lot of respect. Respect goes a long way when you are a role model.
Conclusion	So These are some tips and tricks of what a good role model, leader or a scholar. Role model can be anyone like famous singer, athelete and even your parents. hope you have a role model and be one one day. Hope these help you.

Term 4 Immersion Assembly

My Last Immersion Assembly

My Last Immersion Assembly, 32 Immersion Assembly's  which I have attended in Pt England School. An My last one was today. And I have to say today's one would have to be the best cause this is one I would never forget. A Bit of an insight of what  a immersion assembly is. The Immersion Assembly is a is a way to start off the terms. It is also a way to interest the students about this term. 

Three of my favourites would  have to be team 3, 4 and 5. Well probably because it more Mature for year 7 & 8 students. I Liked team 3's item because It was funny, had good acting and was a lot of fun to watch. Team 4 for me was  a like any other item, but was more fun to watch. Team 4's Item was a carpool karaoke and was super funny, It was based on music changing their mood. The last one of my favourite is team 5's because team 5 teachers are the best. Team 5's item was based on how different types of songs can change the way a movie scene is. So those are my favourite items. I am really looking forward to this term and what it has to give. 

Flounder 2017

Floundering 2017

Floundering at that time I had no clue what it was or if it existed or not. Flounder is a demersal ( a Type of fish). Flounder is a type of fish which is thin, has no teeth and has a lot of spikes.

Today was a day that I thought I would see a lot of flounder. Our school went and worked with some special people, so we could catch some flounder for our flounder tank which we have. The schools plan was to catch some flounder to raise, once it was at a certain age we would set it free.  It has many generations to come.

Writing :

Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be a president for a day ? I know I have always dreamed of being a president. This is what I would do.

If I were a president for a day, the first thing I would do is provide shelter to the homeless.

After all, I am only president for one day and, there is so much I want to do, but not enough time to do it. The homeless don’t even have enough shelter, or any supplies like food and blankets.

I can only imagine what their life would be like as a homeless person. We all are super lucky to be in a very healthy environment, but did you ever think about others? I always think to myself, what would happen to the homeless people, that have no shelter or food provided for them. That is something I’ve always wanted to do for those who are homeless.

 

My second big move while President for a day would be about taking the pollution level down. Even if it’s just by a bit - so we stop breathing in this toxic waste coming from all the cars on the roads as well

Taking the pollution down will mean that less trees will be harmed, which also means less humans will die. The earth will be a safer and healthier place. It is a big job, especially when there is a lot of pollution around us.

The only reason why I would take the pollution down, is because I want the world to be a Pollution free place. Also the animals can have a longer life.

The third thing I would do is make the world a better place. This is my

one and only opportunity, that would only come one day.

People should never say everything is impossible. They are never impossible, that's why you should never give up. It is a dream to make earth the best planet in our solar system.

The earth is the best place. But I’ve always wondered, How can you make a peaceful place.

My term 3 immersion assembly

My immersion assembly for term 3

I walk In to the school grounds with a sprained ankle thinking What could be this terms topic. I Felt like I was in the Guardians of the galaxy, Get it this terms topic is Guardians of the galaxy, HAHAHA. Anyway It was time for our immersion assembly And as soon as I sat The lights shut off I thought to myself Well wow what a great way to start off the term. 
My favourite item will have to be team 5 because I used to be a frozen when i was little and they had exactly what I needed a frozen. the immersion assembly was amazing everything was based on space and gravity and I cant wait to see what is going to happen.
