Malamahonua ceromony

Today in the morning our school and all the other Manaiakalani Schools went to the Pt England reserve. Did you know it was the Hokulea that came in the morning so  we went over to them and 2,000 kids from all the  Manaiakalani schools had to welcome them to Pt England by singing a chant. Did you know that The Hokulea came from hawaii So they traveled 40,000 miles That has been a long way. After we sang the chant 8 times and then they said some speeches and we sang some maori songs. And then they had more speeches after our Waiatas. The last thing we did was shake hands and said welcome.

  1. Amazing! Are those picture of the actual boats that came? I didn't even realise that they were visiting but I will try and find out more about them.
