YEAR 5 & 6 camp
Did you know that last week We had our Year 5 and 6 camp,It was awesome. Year 5 and 6 camp happens every year where every kids gets an opportunity to sleep with their friends in a small tent. Have you ever gone on a school camp with your classmates?
At the Year 5 and 6 camp all the parent helpers and cooks were ready. We went for 3 days and 2 nights in the school field, In our tent we have 3 people, I had slept with Charles and Martin in the tent village. Camp is to help kids be responsible with their stuff and being brave to do everything.
Camp is fun you should realy go camp.!
My first highlight was kayaking with my friend his name was Lomio-Lee Gatua me and him buddied up and went kayaking. But first we had to learn how kayak before we could even ride a kayak. So Mrs Garden told us some tips she said to paddle you have to keep your right and left hand as you are holding a motorbike handle, then she put life jackets on us and we partnered up with a person and kayaked we also had boundaries.
My second highlight at camp was going to the Mangere pools on the last day, it was exciting. But first we had to clean our tent, pack our stuff, eat our breakfast, play some sport then we went on the bus to Mangare pools. When we got to Mangere pools we sat down and the teacher gave us fruit and we sang some mihis, after we went in to the poolside and had our morning tea I was full then we had to get changed into our togs and we swam. After swimming the whole day we were all tired we sat on the bus and we all had a good time swimming.
Mr Goodwin told us to write about our camp. So what me and my classmates did was we had write a detailed recount with hook and orientation. In our recount we had to write a Introduction, 1 paragraph was to write evry detail about camp. In the second paragraph we had to write about our first highlight. In our 3 paragraph we had to write about our second highlight. and last but not least our conclusion about how you felt about camp and what it means for the future.
