KAWAU ISLAND CAMP BENTZON

Away from home living on a island for four days. We are going to Kawau Island. We came to the hall and checked in for departure. We left at 7.30 and hopped on the bus and sat there doing nothing for 1 hour and 30 min till we got to Sandspit wharf.

When we got there we got off the bus and sat in our group lines and had morning tea. We played for about 10 minutes before it was our next departure to kawau island in a ferry. We got into a line and passed one bag at a time to get them packed away. At last we hopped on the ferry with the teachers and parent helpers. It took about 30 minutes to get to the island.

My most favourite activity was kayaking because I loved paddling kayaks. Once we learnt all the tips and instructions on how to not fall off your kayak we lifted the boat into the water, sat down in it and started paddling. We had been paddling for about 15 minutes till we got to another bay and it was called Stingray Bay. We played a game called kayak tag till we had to head back to shore. We were unlucky not to see any stingrays. That was amazing!

My next favourite activity was the confidence course. My dad and my team were there to cheer me on. I liked the confidence course because we could climb in different ways, use different techniques to get over different obstacles. I also liked the confidence course because everybody got to have a try at all the obstacles.

I really enjoyed going to camp because it was really fun. One thing I learnt was even if the activities you never tried make you nervous give it a try.

Egg story recount

Yesterday we had gone out for an exciting race of egg races. We had each got a brown egg

and his name was Omariz JR we had time to draw his face before the race, I was so confused

that what was going on. Who knew that our teacher was about to tell us to do something weird.

Omariz JR was born on the 21st of september 2015 he was the weirdest egg child we had ever sawn. Omariz JR looked cool but one thing, He had a small face. big eyes small body He was just was not my type. We had got the name from Omari and mubz so we added it and it was Omariz JR Omariz JR had heaps of fun with me and Omari and I did to we the most fun ever with a egg!

When me and Omari first took Omariz JR to the playground I felt so nervous because he was so fragile. When we got our spoons we had to put him on the spoon and Omari had to compete with the other competitors. Omari had to go across the playground up and down he did well but then cracked the eggs bottom by running to me. Then it was my turn to take the egg back to the other side I had fast walked but luckily when I ran to the end I had not dropped it. Egg races are interesting and fun, we also learnt how fragile eggs can be.

When it was time to go back to class it was my turn to hold. I basically put put the egg in my pocket and held it back to class. As I took it out of my pocket I saw it cracking Omari was fired up at me, he was so angry it is like he was asset with the egg.

What I think about the egg friend race is it was interesting on how you can balance eggs on a spoon.

I had a lot of fun with Omariz JR. Omari won’t even put him in the bin I said to him “ it is just an egg why can’t you cook it.” And that was the egg story.

Market day

WALT: write an interesting and detailed recount.

Last week on Friday we had our own team 4 market. We had made our own customized product to sell at the market. I could not wait till it was the market to make money and buy stuff with it like food, Loom bands, bookmarks Door hangers and more customized.

We had 6 Trade and Enterprise Groups and they are Kitchen, custom stationery, jewels and accessories,

Home ware, music and toys. I was in the group called custom stationery I made door hangers and managed to raise $19.60. Our door hangers were only $1.50 you can also make your own.

I had lots of  fun doing it.

Setting up and getting ready for the market was a heap lot of work to put into our products and setting up for the week 8 market. We could barely wait to make money and buy different stuff like hot chips, loom bands and more stuff with that money. We had used 1 full size table and displayed all have our stuff we gave all our orders to the people that ordered it and even had generic ones in case people want to buy it.

It had been the first time a had done business in selling my product others. My experiences in selling were making customers happy and making them feel welcome to buy our products. I also liked cooperating and  making money as well as having fun with others.

What experiences i had in buying other people’s products was a big feast for me i had nearly bought every one's product from each business group. I had bought candles,hot chips, and five cold popsicles and shared it with my friends. I had also bought from my own business group I had lots have fun buying and eating.

My thoughts about the market was amazing it was the best thing that happened in the school. I had lots of fun.

Job Application

I will like to take part in  teacher dish duties. I am available in the mornings and afternoons. I want the job because i am interested in doing all my chorus at home except for toilet cleaning it  s a bummer doing it. i am good at this job because if i can clean dishes i can take my teachers dishes. I would like to take part in the teacher dishes because i do not wan’t to sit in a toilet scrubbing and cleaning it all day. Hello Muba’s butler Bob the builder i think Mubashshir will be great for this job called teacher duties he does dishes faster than my mum watching tv and cooking. I think this will Be a great job for him.

Team 4 Traid fair

Walt: use language that paints a picture in the mind of our reader.This term our school topic is trade and enterprise, as part of this topic on week four team 4 had our very own trade fair. We had to make our own group presentation to share to the rest of  team 4, in my group is Lomio and Moroni. The trade fair was awesome can’t wait for the Team 4 market . Trading means  the goodes and the services and enterprise means a project or undertaking, especially a bold or complex one. The trade fair is kind of  like a market but it is where you get your orders done to purchase your product on the market day. The trade fair is also a trade exhibition to order as many things you want to buy, but you need to have money to buy it. The Trade Exhibition Is Usually where mostly people order their stuff.

There are 6 unusual group and they are Homeware, Toys, Kitchen, Jewelry, Custom stationery and Music. Homeware are making house hold stuff that people could buy and use at home and one of them are soap who would not want to buy soap.Toys , Toys basically make toys like a  gun or a car. Kitchen makes cakes and more yum stuff. I am in the group of  custom stationery and I am making door hanger so far we have managed to get 5 orders we are really trying to get more orders.

In my trade fair experience I had the most coolest ever at school i had to order a lot of stuff, And then I had gotten a little angry at my teammates because they left the whole ordering table to me to look after but it all came down to a happy trade fair. We managed to raise $11.50pt. That much money is enough for me to buy myself 1 new soccer ball.

I can’t wait for the market it is going to be filled with kids. Making our order it was all technology that help us. What we basically did was open a new presentation and share with my team mates. Then make a door hanger template to see which is the best template for the people.
